Marte Meo means "on one's own strength": through video sequences of successful interactions, resources and progress in everyday life are made visible. Maria Aarts, founder of the Marte Meo method, will demonstrate at the symposium how development processes in family, school, or professional settings can be purposefully enhanced through images—always focusing on self-initiative and constructive support. She will explain how everyday moments can be utilized to reactivate positive changes. As a psychiatrist, neurologist, and psychotherapist, Dr. Michael Hipp will contribute his long-standing expertise. In dialogue, both will analyze video examples and explain why Marte Meo is so effective when dealing with challenging behavior. Precise, practical support is explained through images from a neurobiological perspective.
